The storm

Wow! We had some excitement at our house the night of the tornadoes. We had just gotten to the basement and Kevin saw the tree in our side yard fall out the window! It was about 50 feet tall!! Didn't even make a noise. We were so grateful that it didn't hit the house and that none of our other big trees fell. It blocked half of 9th street from about 4-9pm and the police were sitting in the road redirecting people.

We had 5 people come to our door wanting to cut it up and take it. We had 2 people call! Who knew wood was such a hot commodity!? 

Today, I went to the store and was gone an hour…I came home and the city was loading the entire tree into dump trucks!! It's all cleaned up!

God is so awesome! Not only because he protected us during the storm but because the tree was hollow and Kevin wanted to cut it down next year…He saved us a lot of money :)
